2024 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 Final Edition brings finality to V-8-powered Wrangler
View Date:2025-01-10 09:37:42
It's been a long goodbye, but the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 is finally ready to make its final curtain call. It's all part of Stellantis gradual retirement of the Hemi V-8. Dodge fans already went through the farewell when the brand rolled out the "Last Call" editions of its muscle cars the past year or so. With the new Charger and Charger Daytona models, Dodge has officially moved on from V-8s. Now it's Jeep's turn.
The 2024 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 Final Edition was confirmed by the automaker back in February of this year, but at the time Jeep had only revealed a plaque for the model with no further information. Now we have all the details from Jeep on this last hurrah for the Hemi-powered Rubicon, including what's included in the Final Edition package and more importantly, it's price tag. Let's break it all down, shall we?
Obviously at the heart of it all is the 2024 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392's hearty 6.4-liter V-8 that pumps out 470 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. Jeep claims the Rubicon 392 can get to 60 mph in just 4.5 seconds and rip down a quarter mile to the tune of 13 seconds flat. It also comes with all the off-road goodies you'd come to expect like a two-speed transfer case, full-time four-wheel drive, Dana 44 axles with electronic locking differentials, and electric front sway bar disconnect. You can learn more about the Rubicon 392's capabilities in our first test of the beastly Jeep.

So, beyond everything that comes with a standard Rubicon 392, what does the Final Edition trim add on? For starters, all 2024 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 Final Edition's come with a 8,000-pound-capacity Warn winch installed from the factory. A Mopar triple loop grille guard and Mopar heavy duty rock sliders help protect the body panels when off the beaten path. The suspension is lifted about half an inch which gives it a grand total of 34.5 inches of water fording and 11.6 inches of ground clearance.
Inside the Final Edition you'll find a set of 12-way adjustable power seats with an exclusive Mayan gold stitching and Tupelo highlight colorway. To further drive home the exclusivity, the Final Edition has the obligatory medallion on the shifter and a plaque on the swing gate. A Mopar swing gate table and 83-piece toolkit also come standard. A Mopar on-board air compressor can be added on as an option.

All of it can be yours for $101,890, which is right on target with where we suspected the price tag would land when Jeep first confirmed the Wrangler Rubicon Final Edition's existence on social media. If you think that's a reasonable price, then you may want to act fast. Only 3,700 units of the Wrangler Rubicon 392 Final Edition will be produced globally. Of that 3,700, 3,300 are allocated for the U.S. market with 300 going to Canada and the rest of the world left to fight over the remaining 100.
The bad news is if you haven’t already placed an order at your local dealer then you are probably already too late. The good news is, you don’t have to get a Final Edition if you’re just looking to grab a Jeep with a Hemi V-8, the “standard” Wrangler Rubicon 392 will be much easier to get by comparison.
